Application Operations Specialist (Application NOC)
About the company
VinSmart Future (VSF) is Vingroup's technology company, formed by merging the Group's entire technology ecosystem. As a core driver of Vingroup's future growth, VSF is AI-first - with artificial intelligence as the foundation of everything we build. With a talented team of nearly 4,000 local and international technology experts, VSF focuses on creating high-utility technologies that enhance lives and connect data, models, and infrastructure to unlock new possibilities.
You'll serve as the 24/7 monitoring front line for GSM's technology applications and services — spotting incidents early, handling them by the book, and coordinating with stakeholders to keep systems stable and the user experience smooth. This is an opportunity to build deep expertise in application, systems, and infrastructure operations at large scale
Responsibilities
Monitor real-time dashboards, alerts, logs, and the operational status of assigned applications.
Receive, verify, and log initial incidents in the ticketing system; classify severity as P0/P1/P2/P3 per operational procedures.
Execute basic troubleshooting checklists within your authorized L1/App NOC scope.
Escalate to the correct L2/L3 track (DevOps, Application Operations, SRE, Engineering, or vendor) when an issue exceeds your scope.
Track SLA, timeline, owner, and resolution status until each incident is handed over or closed.
Keep runbooks, checklists, shift logs, and shift-handover reports complete and up to standard.
Coordinate with Customer Support, Product, Tech, and Ops to assess user and operational impact.
Record recurring errors, noisy alerts, and operational bottlenecks, and propose improvements.
Requirements
College/University degree in IT, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in NOC, IT Operations, Application Operations, DevOps/SRE, Helpdesk, Technical Support, or an equivalent role.
Willing to work 24/7 shifts (8 hours per shift) according to the operating model.
Experience monitoring dashboards, alerts, logs, and ticketing systems.
Proficient with — or able to quickly learn — tools such as Grafana, Datadog, ELK/Kibana, Prometheus, Zabbix, and Jira Service Desk.
Able to read and understand basic logs, error messages, metrics, and API status to perform initial incident verification.
Familiar with incident handling, escalation, SLA tracking, and shift handover processes.
Basic-to-intermediate English reading comprehension for technical documentation.
Careful, disciplined, quick to react, and able to stay calm in a high-pressure operations environment.
Nice to have
Experience operating high-traffic mobile/web applications; basic understanding of APIs, servers, databases, networking, cloud, and containers.
Basic SQL for querying data/logs during incident investigation.
Prior experience as a DevOps, SRE, Engineer, Technical Support, or Product specialist.
Relevant certifications such as ITIL Foundation, Linux, Cloud Fundamentals, or Datadog/Grafana.
